Nash-Walker Bio PicAssociate Principal of Instruction – Grades PreK-2nd – Mrs. Patricia Nash-Walker

Greetings! It is a privilege and honor to be joining the New Boston Elementary School as the Associate Principal of Curriculum & Instruction. It will be an exciting journey to support the staff and students in reforming the instructional and learning practices to promote student achievement.

I am a native of Ashdown, Arkansas where I graduated from Ashdown High School in 1999. I received my undergraduate degree, a BS Interdisciplinary Studies -EC-6th (2012) from Texas A&M University – Texarkana. I have also earned three master’s degrees – MS-Curriculum & Instruction (2015), MS-Instructional Technology & Design (2016), and MEd-Education Leadership (2019) from Texas A&M University – Texarkana.

I have spent the last three years as the Elementary Instructional Specialist for New Boston ISD. During my teaching career, I taught 4th grade for three years, 3rd grade for one year, and 1st grade for one year. In my free time, I enjoy traveling and spending time with family.

I am excited to develop positive relationships with the New Boston ISD community, work with students as they grow, and to support teachers and staff in reaching their greatest potential. I believe a collaborative school environment is key to establishing successful teachers and students. I look forward to meeting each of you and serving the staff, students, and community of New Boston ISD.

Samuel CostonAssistant Principal – Grades 3-5 – Mr. Samuel Coston

First of all, I am excited to be a New Boston Lion! I know the 2020 school year will be unique, but I view those obstacles more as opportunities to succeed. I am grateful to be part of a team with such a drive and passion for students.

I am a 2007 Graduate of Ouachita Baptist University, with a BA in Business Administration. While at Ouachita I met my wife, Angela with whom I have three awesome sons: Trent, Moses, and Ambrose. In 2017 I earned an M.Ed. in Education Administration from Texas A&M University-Texarkana.

As an Educator, I have taught Math, Science, Special Ed. with Bilingual Students, GED Courses, and served as a grade level Assistant Principal.

I like to spend my free time running, backpacking, or pretending I know how to fish. If I cannot be outdoors, and my kids permit it, I can be found near the coffee while reading.
